A fresh take on timeless, our Pink Lemonade editorial was a dream of blissful hues and citrus details. Using bright pops of color, citrus pieces, and jaw-dropping florals, The Sweet Oak Events team created our own citrus garden without ever leaving home. Breathtaking flower arrangements by Color Fields Farm in colorful hues will have you feeling bright and sunny. You can feel the magic of the day in the incredible imagery captured by videographer, Little Eye Film Co. and photographer Annie Timmons Photography.
“Pink Lemonade” celebrated hope for sunny springtime days, relaxing with your love. Our inspiration bloomed from a citrus garden in Austria that boasted beautiful lemon tree orchards and curtains of florals. Since travel isn’t an option these days, we opted to bring the garden home to Hillsborough and provide a new vision for a white barn wedding. Using bright pops of color, citrus pieces and jaw-dropping florals, we were able to create our own citrus garden without ever leaving home. We hope to inspire couples after a year of doom and gloom with how to create a bright, colorful and fun wedding that loses none of its sophistication or class.
The team gushed as our primary couple, Victoria and Arthur, shared an endearing first look on the ceremony patio of Carolina Grove, captured by videographer, Little Eye Film Co and photographer Annie Timmons Photography. As he turned, Arthur was speechless at the sight of glowing Victoria (these two are about to be engaged!). The couple was framed by a breathtaking ground ceremony floral installation orchestrated by Color Fields Farm. Inside the venue, details of our vision, “Pink Lemonade”, were pieced together with elements of a flower curtain cascading behind the sweetheart table created by Color Fields Farm florals, a colorful green and pink seating chart and custom stationery suite designed by Ashley Triggiano Fine Art, and themed specialty bar cocktails featuring Pink Lemonade Sangria and Blood Orange Margaritas concocted by Brewmasters. Delicious treats were provided by our food vendors, NOSH Raleigh with an outstanding charcuterie board, and the queen of all desserts, our cake from Sugar Euphoria. Outside on the lawn, our two couples relaxed with some healthy competition thanks to a variety of lawn games provided by Triad Lawn Games. Throughout the event, our vision of “Pink Lemonade” held true with elegant use of bright colors and hints of citrus in the most sophisticated of details. Other vendors that provided lemons for our lemonade dreams were Greenhouse Picker Sisters with specialty rentals, American Party Rentals for tabletop rentals, and Poppy & Co for our fabulous detailed pieces.
Lastly, we would like to give a special thanks to our models, Victoria Wooten & Arthur Richards, Chloe and Luke Thomas, and Molly Burchins. Our models were beautifully dressed by White of Raleigh who provided Bridal Gowns, Bella Bridesmaids who provided the Bridesmaid gowns, and Bernard’s Formalwear who provided our suits. Hair and makeup was provided by Wink, and lastly, design & coordination by Sweet Oak Events. Our goal was to inspire a sophisticated appreciation for lemonade after a year of life handing us lemons… but, of course, make it pink!
We are overjoyed and humbled to have this beautiful shoot featured on Style Me Pretty today as well. Head over to see the full gallery on their blog HERE.
