Sweet Oak Events is a Raleigh-based event planning, design and production studio creating unforgettable wedding weekends for discerning couples throughout the Carolinas and beyond. Led by creative director Cheyenne Painter, the Sweet Oak Events team balances fresh design with precise logistics to deliver celebrations that feel like you and have your guests wishing the party will never end.

About The Studio
With nearly a decade of experience in weddings, Cheyenne has learned two things: timelines are everything, and the best design ideas usually show up somewhere between the first cup of coffee and a table full of linen swatches.
Her work has been featured in publications like Style Me Pretty and The Knot, but what matters more to her is creating celebrations that feel as good as they look. Her modern heritage approach blends a sharp eye for design with an almost obsessive attention to detail, resulting in events that feel collected, warm and rich...with just enough edge to keep things interesting.
When she's not sourcing wallpaper for custom bars, you'll likely find her in the garden or baking fresh bread - deep in her homesteading era. A little old-fashioned at heart, this influence shows up in her love of natural materials, seasonal elements and spaces that feel lived in rather than styled.
Reflecting on what drives her most, Cheyenne says she loves the adrenaline rush of showing her clients their finished reception spaces for the first time. Watching them bask in a fully realized vision all their own truly never gets old.

Founder Story
Kendall is a Jersey girl who is making Raleigh home for her and her family. As a former Sweet Oak Events bride herself, she knows firsthand how meaningful it is to have a planning team that truly cares and can seamlessly bring a wedding vision to life. Her own experience as a client gives her a unique perspective and deep appreciation for the excitement, emotions, and details that make each celebration so special.
When she's not researching vendor options, creating wedding day timelines, or helping couples navigate the planning process, you'll find her curled up with a great book, catching up on the latest pop culture news, or planning her family's next adventure. She reads over 50 books a year, so if you need any recommendations she's definitely your girl. She's equally happy with her toes in the sand at the beach or escaping to the mountains for a weekend getaway, and she never passes up an opportunity to be near the water.
Kendall loves helping couples curate the perfect vendor team and handling all of the behind-the-scenes logistics so they can focus on what matters most - celebrating with the people they love. Her goal is to make every wedding day feel effortless, magical, and a whole lot of fun from beginning to end.
