INTRO TO HAYFIELD

I am overjoyed to share with you a fun project I had the pleasure of working on with the ladies and gents that just opened a brand new venue in Liberty, NC, Hayfield at Murchison Farms!

This beautiful venue is family owned and when I say they did a fabulous job on this place, I mean FABULOUS. They left no stone unturned and really went all out for the details.

I am honored they chose me to plan their very first Open House on April 11th, 2021, and I can’t wait for their next one! Check out some of the gorgeous details below:

ABOUT HAYFIELD’S OPEN HOUSE

The team at Hayfield was really passionate about hosting their first open house at night, when weddings would actually take place, so that is exactly what we did! We also took advantage of the fact that a stellar team of vendors would be there, so we used the day to capture some gorgeous photos, styled shoot style!

The theme for the styled shoot and open house was Night Lights. We wanted to showcase the industrial portions of Hayfield although it is a barn venue to really show depth and range in this space, so we opted for a bold color palette, modern attire, fun marquee lights and use of Hayfield’s gorgeous green velvet sofas and cowhide rug as our backdrop.

Although the weather was calling for rain all week, Mother Nature was on our side and the day was PERFECT. After wrapping up the styled shoot, vendors set up their tables and guests started to arrive.

We had roughly 15 vendors on site for couples to meet and greet as well as see this gorgeous venue lit up at night!

DETAILS & BEHIND THE SCENES

I know all of you want the juicy details from the day, but honestly this day went off without a hitch!

The Hayfield family is truly wonderful and willing to jump in and help whenever they are needed, so if you are planning an upcoming wedding or event, I know they will take great care of you. They also have lots of cute puppies that we definitely had to include in some of the photos and give lots of pets to!

Some of my favorite details from the event is that we actually included 3 very different tablescapes in this shoot. The first was very on theme using a high contrast white table linen with black plates, black flatware and a green velvet napkin. The second was more feminine using a blue-grey linen with grey heirloom plates, dipped flatware and hemstitch napkins. The last (and a favorite of many!) was very Kentucky Derby style with a fun gold pattern linen, wishbone chargers, gold flatware and navy napkins. Incorporating all of these styles really allowed couples to see how the space can be used differently and our hope was that all of our brides could resonate with one or more of the styles!

We also had Brewmasters bring their Heidi the Hopbox horse trailer bar to the farm which was so fun and truly a crowd favorite in addition to our other fantastic vendors all listed below!
