Introduction to Raleigh, NC

Raleigh, North Carolina is arguably one of the sweetest and most magical places to be as the winter turns to spring. Each day brings the promise of a gradual return to life as the trees recall their green, the daffodils spring up out of the ground to say hello, and the dogwoods sing the song of our home state pulling itself out of another chilly winter season. The days are getting longer, flowers are beginning to bloom, and we are already dreaming of whimsical spring weddings. Join us as we stroll through our garden of top Raleigh, NC Venues for the Modern Spring Bride.

First on our list is Carolina Grove in Hillsborough, NC. This venue boasts “light and airy” incorporating high ceilings, expansive windows, and a bright, white interior. With a max capacity of 220 guests, there’s room to have lots of fun with all your favorite people! They also have a downstairs Vault lounge that gives us total speakeasy vibes, perfect for the groom and groomsmen to enjoy themselves before the ceremony.

The Bradford in New Hill, NC

Next, we have to mention The Bradford. This one is a timeless classic, featuring a fantasy of white brick, a modern-romantic take on fountain entrances, and a swoon-worthy outdoor patio. Our favorite offering at The Bradford in New Hill, NC has to be their weekend experience that allows you to give you and your guests the ultimate wedding experience complete with a stay in their luxury home, tons of onsite amenities and endless possibilities to make your wedding weekend one you and your guests will never forget.

The Barn of Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC

The Barn of Chapel Hill is one of our favorites for a bride who longs for a sophisticated farm-style wedding. Large barn doors, vaulted ceilings perfect for hanging greenery, and tasteful exposed beams against the wondrous white walls. The Barn of Chapel Hill is most known for its bespoke floral designs from in-house florist, Wild Flora. These luxurious blooms are unmatched and truly a note of distinction for The Barn of Chapel Hill. The Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh, NC

Where old meets new, the Merrimon-Wynne House, in the heart of downtown Raleigh, is the perfect setting for a modern take on a classic “tale as old as time”. Dazzle your guests with the elegance of fine-art details while soaking in every second of a peaceful spring evening on their private lawn. The Merrimon-Wynne House is *the* Raleigh venue known for its stunning carriage house and gorgeous (and always green) lawn. It’s definitely a must-see.

The Maxwell in Raleigh, NC

Last but not least, The Maxwell, one of Raleigh’s latest and greatest venues, opened its doors in March 2021 and has hosted miraculous events ever since. The modern, clean canvas of a venue allows for endless opportunities that will make any wedding planner’s eyes sparkle. This venue checks every box for the modern spring bride with beautiful new landscaping, a grand ballroom with tons of natural light and bridal & groom’s suites on site. With a max guest count of 300 for a formal seated dinner, this is one of the larger event spaces in the area.

As we were discussing our favorite Raleigh venues, we realized we might have a thing for white spaces. Coincidence? I think not. It’s no secret that white photographs best, provides the best backdrop for design and adds just the right amount of elegance every modern spring bride is looking for.
